How are you all doing? I haven’t published a post in quite a while; 3 plus weeks to be precise. I have been giving myself grief for not being punctual with my posts. I’m sorry for not following up with my posts. But, there’s a lot of exciting news from my end 😀
Today, I’m going to list out the major events that took place this past month. As the days (and weeks) go by, I’ll publish more in-depth posts regarding each piece of awesomeness that has happened and will continue to happen.
Without much ado, here are the most exciting things that happened in May 2017.
- I turned 25 😀 – Milestone birthday, one step closer to hitting 30 (:P) and many new adventures to go on. Turning 25 has been a humbling and educational experience. The celebration was nice too. Cheers to year 25 😀
2. I got a job! (Finally) – If you’ve been following me for a while, you’d know that I was struggling to find a job. After numerous sleepless nights, lots of crying sessions, many fights with the Universe, turning temporarily agnostic, feeling deflated and almost losing hope, it happened – I got an offer and I accepted. I’m happy 🙂
3. Back to Mumbai! – After eight months of chilling at home, eating home cooked food, cycling, sleeping to my heart’s desire and lazing around, it was finally time to leave the nest. I can’t tell you how many times I prayed, begged and coaxed the Universe to take me back to the ‘City of Dreams.’ There’s a dialogue from a movie called “Om Shanti Om” which resonates with my situation quite a bit. It goes like this, “Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho…. to puri kainaat use tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.” This dialogue roughly translates to, “They say that if you desire something with all your heart, then the whole universe will conspire to get you what you desire.” For me, this dialogue couldn’t be truer.
Dreams really do come true. So, dream further, hold on to hope, aim for your heart’s desires; it might just happen.
So, these are the most important things that happened this month.
I’m happy. I’m grateful. I’m ecstatic. I’m glowing. I’m humbled.
It’s an exciting time. My return to Mumbai feels like a second chance at life.
I cannot express how grateful I am for this opportunity. I’m lost for words.
What I can say for sure is this – I’m not going to screw this up.
2017 is the Year of Redemption.
I will fight. I will rise. I will succeed.
Hopefully, I’ll smile more often too.
So that’s all the news I have for now. I’ll be back with a longer post soon.
Till then, Adios 🙂
